T01 BMS Monitor User Manual v2.6
Complete guide to monitoring and configuring DS4A Battery Management Systems
Safety Information
⚠️
Important: Advanced settings can permanently damage your BMS or battery if configured incorrectly. Always verify changes after writing and keep a record of original settings before making modifications.
General Warnings
- Advanced settings can damage your BMS or battery if configured incorrectly
- Always verify changes after writing
- Keep a record of original settings before making changes
- Do not modify settings you don't understand
FET Control Warning
Manually controlling the charge/discharge FETs bypasses the BMS protection:
- Disabling Discharge FET - Battery cannot provide power
- Disabling Charge FET - Battery cannot be charged
- Enabling both when in protection - Can cause dangerous conditions
🔥
Only use FET control if you fully understand the implications and have taken appropriate safety precautions.
Calibration Warning
Incorrect calibration can cause:
- Inaccurate state of charge readings
- Protection thresholds triggering incorrectly
- Over/under charging of cells
⚠️
Only calibrate with proper equipment and knowledge. If in doubt, contact DS4A for guidance.
Battery Safety
- Never leave batteries unattended during charging
- Use only reputable LiFePO4 multi-stage capable charging equipment
- Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures
- Stop using batteries that are noticeably swelling, excessively hot, or damaged / pierced
- Follow all battery manufacturer guidelines
- Use appropriate fusing and protection for your installation
- Ensure adequate ventilation around batteries
